Intangible Culture Department
The department safeguards the living traditions and expressions that form the heart of cultural heritage. It researches, documents, and preserves these intangible treasures - from the rhythm of music and the wisdom of spoken language to the intricate details of traditional crafts. Through expert knowledge and meticulous collection efforts, the department is dedicated to protecting these cultural gems, ensuring that their legacy continues to enrich future generations.
Tangible Culture Department
The department conducts systematic research, records, proposes, and determines the status of movable cultural property. It is responsible for collecting, organizing, preserving, and conducting professional and scientific analysis of museum materials acquired through field research, excavations, purchases, donations, inheritances, exchanges, legacies, and reproductions. The department is also responsible for systematically organizing, preserving, and protecting professional and scientific documentation related to museum materials and movable cultural property, as well as publishing the results of professional and scientific research. Its activities also include exhibiting and interpreting museum materials in permanent displays and thematic exhibitions, with the aim of enhancing education and culture.
Library and Publishing Activities Department.
The Library and Publishing Activities Department is responsible for the systematic acquisition of scientific and professional literature in the fields of museology and other disciplines represented in the Museum, primarily to support the work of the professional staff of the Museum of the Republic of Srpska. It also manages the exchange of literature, books, catalogues, and other publications with related museum institutions in the country and abroad. The department is further responsible for the protection of old and rare books which, in accordance with the law, have the status of cultural property and museum material. In addition, it undertakes publishing activities, including the editing, design, and printing of the Museum's publications.
Conservation and Restoration Department u
The Conservation and Restoration Department is responsible for the preservation and restoration of movable cultural heritage and museum collections made of various materials, including metal, ceramics, stone, bone, textiles, wood, and others.
Documentation and Digitalization Department
Odjeljenje za dokumentaciju i digitalizaciju obavlja poslove vođenja evidencije o kulturnim dobrima, dokumentacije o muzejskoj građi, te vođenje Registra kulturnih dobara Muzeja Republike Srpske kao i vođenje Centralnog registra kulturnih dobara za kulturna dobra po vrstama za koje je zakonom određena nadležnost Muzeja Republike Srpske.
Educational and Pedagogical Work, Communications, and Public Relations epartment
Odjeljenje za obrazovno-pedagoški rad, komunikacije i odnose sa javnošću nadležno je za odnose s javnoščću, te za organizaciju posjeta izložbama i za sve manifestacije, radionice, seminare, predavanja i druge oblike prosvjetno-pedagoške djelatnosti.
General Affairs Department
Odjeljenje za zajedničke poslove obavlja opšte, upravno-pravne, administrativne i kadrovske poslove za potebe Muzeja. Nadležnost Odjeljenja su finansijski, računovodstveni, materijalni, obračunski i blagajnički poslovi, te nabavke, evidencije o osnovnim sredstvima, inventaru i imovini Muzeja; poslovi tehničkog održavanja objekta, instalacija i inventara, obezbjeđenje transporta muzejske građe i drugih vrijednosti na području Republike Srpske, Bosne i Hercegovine i inostranstvu. Djelatnost odjeljenja uključuje i obavljanje poslova vezanih za promociju Muzeja i njegove djelatnosti putem medija i na tržištu ideja i usluga, marketinške poslove te prodaju muzejskih izdanja i suvenira.
